Mission Statement: To enrich the education of medical students and promote exploration within the field of fitness, nutrition, and improve quality of life. We are committed to providing students the opportunity to improve their physical & mental wellbeing and gain deeper insight into how fitness & nutrition knowledge can be applied in clinical practice.
Goals & Objectives
1. Continue our relationship with American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Exercise is Medicine program. Research related to this field can apply for grants from the ACSM. More information can be directed towards the Board members and/or Drs. Ware and Farzanegan.
2. Promote health, fitness, and nutrition across CNUCOM. Educating students on these topics will allow them to become better equipped as future physicians.
3. ACSM EIM program has 3 tiers: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. We intend to reach at least Silver our first year with the ultimate goal of reaching or setting up for Gold status.
