Family Medicine
Mission Statement The mission statement of this SIG is threefold. First, we aim to educate CNU students about the scope and practice of Family Medicine through guest speakers, procedural workshops, and residency fairs. Second, we aim to build a network of FM physicians through which students can foster mentorship, research opportunities, and shadowing opportunities. Sacramento is uniquely situated in the state of California to provide large institution/city FM opportunities as well as Rural FM opportunities. Third, we want to provide resources through which students can advocate on the legislation that pertains to FM or primary care physicians. We believe that it is our right and our responsibility to build a future that benefits the patient's health first and foremost.
