Cardiology

Mission Statement to grow interest in the field of cardiology. Heart disease remains the number one cause of death for adult Americans; therefore, a comprehensive understanding of cardiology is essential for tackling cardiovascular-related pathology. We aim to develop future cardiologists and cardiology-proficient primary care providers that will be helping Americans with their problems guided by knowledge, experience, and compassion.

Goals & Objectives for 2023-2024

1. Fostering interest in the field of Cardiology among California Northstate University College of Medicine students. 

2. Providing opportunities for students to develop clinical skills through specialty workshops and to engage with and learn from physicians in different cardiology specialties. 

3. Providing opportunities for students to engage with patient perspectives and explore cardiac pathologies through contact with patients and providers such as the Sacramento Area Amyloidosis Group.
