Hospice & Palliatve Medicine
The mission statement of this SIG is threefold. First, we aim to educate CNU students about the scope and practice of HPM through guest speakers, procedural workshops, and residency fairs. Second, we aim to build a network of HPM physicians through which students can foster mentorship, research opportunities, and shadowing opportunities. Third, we want to provide resources through which students can advocate on the legislation that pertains to HPM or primary care physicians. We believe that it is our right and our responsibility to build a future that benefits the patient's health first and foremost. Our intended outcomes for this interest group is to develop and foster an environment through which medical students can learn about HPM, get involved in HPM, and be an advocate for change in the field of HPM.
