Mission Statement to bring awareness to health issues facing older adults, ageism in healthcare settings, and allow students to explore geriatrics as a potential specialty. As our population ages, more and more physicians will treat older patients, and Geriatrics SIG aims to prepare students to be the best providers they can be. 

Goals & Objectives for 2023-2024:

1. Holding informative talks for students to learn about issues facing older adults in healthcare 

2. Informing students about potential research opportunities regarding aging and older adult care. 

3. Promoting ageism awareness and ways to be more cognizant of biases that could affect the way we treat patients
