Oncology

Our mission is to introduce the field of oncology to students at CNU. We know that oncology is often seen as a challenging field to work in because of the poor prognosis of many patients, but we want to show that the deep connections oncologists make with their patients are unmatched. We aim to provide opportunities for discussion and experience to those interested in oncology and to expand the knowledge of this field among our medical students.

Goals and objectives for 2023-2024:

1. Provide a learning opportunity during the school year through a patient speaker on their experience with cancer care.

2. Collaborate with other SIGs to tie in oncology with other fields of medicine such as palliative care.

3. Provide mentorship and networking opportunities for students interested in various subspecialties in oncology.
