Orthopedic Surgery

Our mission is to enable California Northstate University medical students to engage in the field of orthopedic surgery, a surgical specialty focused on conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Through hands-on learning demonstrations, service learning, research opportunities, lunchtime presentations, we aim to facilitate early exposure that would allow students to develop a nuanced understanding of the field and cultivate skills beneficial for advancing toward a rewarding career in orthopedic surgery. These events will include activities such as cadaver demos, anatomy and physiology trivia sessions, panels with physicians, alumni, or patients, and more. Additionally, we aim to host volunteer events benefiting orthopedic patients and promoting musculoskeletal health in the community. We look to partner with and support organizations that seek to improve the lives of the patients we will one day serve.
